The Marin City Juneteenth Festival is the largest annual Festival of Black African Arts and Culture in the North Bay Area. The MC Juneteenth Festival highlights local vendors and small businesses who come together in an African Marketplace to share knowledge, food, fashion, jewelry, art, books and provides an opportunity for all who choose to attend, the opportunity to experience African Culture, shop local and enjoy top-notch performances.
This years event, begins at 9am with a community prayer breakfast at the Marguerite Johnson Senior Center. At 10:30 the intimate amphitheater opens with a Drum Call to invite the community to join.
The stage opens at 11:30 am. Featuring international and local talent, including Music: Gospel, and Praise Dance, International Percussion, Funk, Neo-soul, Rap. Poetry, and Theater.
The Market and the Festival close at 7:30.
