Protest Rallies
”The resistance is rising! The “No Kings Day” protests over the weekend were tremendously successful. Major media (inexplicably) continue to downplay the number and scale of the protests. However, widespread reports from across the nation have proven that there have been more and larger protests than expected. Planned protests consistently exceeded expectations, while spontaneous protests emerged where none were planned.” - Robert B. Hubble (4/21/25 Newsletter)
Our Approach to Protest Events:
Protest events are one important aspect of a robust resistance to the Trump regime. They are high-profile events and often draw new people and energy to the movement.
Philosophically, we believe that:
Continual, small protests popping up in many locations are positive and a key tactic for the opposition movement. We will do our utmost to support and share information on these vibrant and organic events/activities which are a key component of the Resistance. These events/activities are being organized by Indivisible Roseville/Auburn/Nevada County and a range of other local progressive and Democrat party affiliated groups in our area.
Large scale protests, such as the 4/5 “Hands Off” event, require a larger commitment of both human and financial resources along with coordination among multiple National organizations/grassroots movements such as MoveOn.org and 50501.

In addition to protests, there are many actions we should all be taking on a daily/weekly basis to fight back against the Trump regime’s illegal, authoritarian attempt to takeover America. These actions are the primary focus for all of us on a regular basis.
Please read through all of the pages under the “Fight” section of our website for ideas of ways to engage in the Resistance on a daily and weekly basis. These regular actions are very important to fuel the resistance and to build toward success in the midterms.
