Join Democracy Action Marin and the Bay Area Coalition for a memorable presentation by grassroots activist Elizabeth Chur: "Always Say Yes to the Water… and other lessons learned in CD-22"
Last year, Swing Left San Francisco volunteer Elizabeth Chur spent a month in CD-22 canvassing and curing ballots in rural Kern County. She will share amazing stories of connecting with some of the hardest-to-reach voters, including young people, Latinx communities, and high-potential voters. Elizabeth will also share new strategies and practical tips she developed from this monthlong immersion in the Bakersfield area. Get inspired for the upcoming election cycle, and pick up some new ideas for your next conversations with voters!
Elizabeth Chur is a seasoned canvasser and phone banker. She and her collaborators have trained more than 2,500 volunteers nationally through three workshops: Phone Banking for Introverts, Spanish For Activists, and You and the 34%: How to Have Meaningful Conversations with High-Potential Voters.
